Frequently Asked Questions – Event Public Liability Insurance

Yes. Even for single-day events, public liability insurance is highly recommended—and often required—if members of the public are attending. It protects you against legal claims for injury or property damage.
It's not a legal requirement on its own, but many venues and local councils will require it before allowing your event to go ahead. If you hire staff or volunteers, Employers' Liability Insurance is legally required in the UK.
