Our specialist storage insurance protects your goods while they are kept in a professional self-storage unit or secure private facility. It covers fire, flood, theft, storm damage, burst pipes and more—even when your unit is unoccupied. Cover limits may vary depending on postcode, so please check your quotation for any exclusions.
Yes. Policies are flexible from 1 to 365 days and can be extended at any time. If you move your goods out earlier than expected, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the unused days.
Yes. We can arrange cover for private individuals, partnerships, limited companies, charities, trusts, management companies, or personal pension/SIPP arrangements. This ensures the correct legal owner is protected.
Yes. Every policy includes £2 million public liability cover as standard. This protects you if someone is injured or their property is damaged in connection with your stored items.
Yes. We can insure valuables such as gold, silver, jewellery, artworks, antiques, fine wine and specialist collections, subject to underwriting approval. Please specify these items when requesting your quote.
Yes. Our policy includes limited goods-in-transit cover, giving a degree of protection while your items are transported to or from the storage facility.
Yes. Our policy certificates meet the requirements of most major self-storage companies and private facilities across the UK. We recommend checking with your chosen site before moving in, but our documents are widely recognised and accepted.
Key exclusions include wear and tear, deliberate damage, and business use of the storage unit for manufacturing or trading. In some postcodes certain flood or subsidence risks may be limited or excluded—your quotation and policy wording will set out all terms.

Yes, provided the goods are stored only and no business is operated from the unit. For example, storing retail stock, office equipment, or archived documents is acceptable.
Yes. You can increase or decrease the insured value or extend the policy dates at any time. If you cancel early and no claim has been made, we will provide a pro-rata refund for the unused cover.
The standard policy excess is £50 for most claims. Any different excesses will be shown clearly on your quotation and policy schedule.
Immediately. Once payment is received, your certificate of insurance and full policy documents are emailed straight away and can also be downloaded from your customer account.

If the replacement cost of your goods increases, simply contact us to adjust your sum insured. This ensures you remain fully covered for their current value.
No. To keep premiums competitive and avoid interest charges, we only offer single upfront payment. However, you can choose short policy durations (from one day upwards) to suit your budget.
Yes. The limited goods-in-transit cover applies whether you transport items yourself or hire a professional removal service, provided the policy conditions are met.
No. Gradual wear, damp, mould or vermin damage is not covered. We recommend using professional packaging and choosing a climate-controlled unit to reduce these risks.
